Free Community Watersports Activity Sessions

Sail Birmingham and Midland Sailing Club are teaming up with Birmingham Rowing Club to help the Commonwealth Games coming to Birmingham in 2022.
Adults and children can come along and try out a range of watersports free of charge but you will need to book through the this Eventbrite link.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE ACTIVITY DAYS
Buoyancy aids are provided, and everyone is required to wear one. You are likely to get a bit wet if trying rowing or sailing, so please consider bringing a change of clothes and bring footwear that you do not mind getting wet, old trainers or water shoes are preferred, no crocs, flip flops or sandals. For windsurfing and paddle boarding you will very likely get wet (!), you can borrow wetsuits if you wish to, please bring a towel and a swimsuit for under the wetsuit.
FOOD & DRINKS
There is a café at Midland Sailing Club that is open with hot and cold drinks and snacks available to purchase.
BAD WEATHER PROVSION
Watersports are fun to do on hot sunny days or even when it is raining.
However, if there are high winds or a severe weather warning the Free Community Watersports Activity Days will not go ahead. If the weather is bad, please check the website and our Facebook page for up to the minute information. https://www.facebook.com/sailbirmingham
