RYA Stage Courses (Junior)

The stage 1 courses are open to kids from age 8 to 10. They are aimed at total beginners who want to learn how to sail, but might not have set foot into a dinghy before. In the Stage 1 course you will learn the basics of sailing, and some practical techniques and manoeuvres. In the subsequent courses (which have no age restriction), you will build on the skills towards the completion of the RYA Youth Stage certificates.

RYA Level 1 Course (Adult)

The RYA Level 1 Course (Start Sailing) is aimed at adults who have no prior experience in dinghy sailing. We will take you from beginner to able sailor through our course programme, and the Level 1 course is the first step.

RYA Level 2 Course (Adult)

The RYA Level 2 Course (Basic Skills) is aimed at adults who have completed the RYA Level 1 course.  It reinforces the basic skills necessary to control a dinghy up to a point where you can sail with confidence. Having the RYA Level 2 certificate generally enables you to hire dinghies in many places.
